Our Team
Jake Gunther (Principal, Lead Engineer)
Jake started his career in IT back when he was 8 years old. He started by tearing apart his family’s home computer and figuring out how it all worked. He started Silverleaf IT to provide concierge IT services to companies that were tired of the boxed solutions. His goal has been to design the services to each business rather than give them a menu to choose from. He holds and maintains certifications from Cisco, VMware, Citrix, Microsoft, and HP. Jake has helped design and maintain systems worldwide. He has successfully lead audits on his client’s behalf and helped them receive excellent ratings. Jake has 3 kids and enjoys cruising the world when he has time. His belief has always been to provide excellent service and build long-term relationships.
Shea Taylor (Principal, Operations and Sales)
Shea has been in IT sales for over 25 years working for both local and national companies. In 2005, he founded Open Source Tailors, who is the hardware and software partner for Silverleaf. He holds a degree in Economics from BYU and holds numerous certifications from all major manufacturers in the industry including Intel, HP, IBM, Dell, Cisco, VMware, and Citrix. He was one of the first to become certified to sell and support Vmware in the state of Utah. He has a passion for building long-term relationships with his customers and feels like he has never worked a day in his life because he loves working and helping his customers. He loves mountain biking and taking vacations to Hawaii with his family.
Stephen (Mark) Holley (Engineer)
Stephen saw that there was a hole in the IT industry. There was a lot of IT service providers around, but they only focused on the client if they were willing to spend lots of money. He saw that several other companies were falling through the cracks. From that, Silverleaf IT was born. Stephen holds a degree in Information technology from University of Phoenix. He has specialized in IT management and IT audits for the last 20 years. For the past 5 years, he has spent time focusing on cybersecurity and all of the topics and threats that are consistently evolving. He has 5 boys that keeps him very busy. In his free time he enjoys listening to vinyl records.
Hudson Gunther (Engineer)
Hudson is the funny one on the team. He decided after years of medical training, that he was better suited for the IT world. Hudson joined the team back in 2015 and started out as a helpdesk technician. Since then, he has graduated from Utah Valley University with his degree in Information Security and is working towards his CISSP. He loves all things IT, but his secret love is buying and fixing Audi cars. He is expecting his first child in May. Ironically, Jake and Hudson are identical twins and have shared a lot of the same passions over the years.
Stewart Simpson (Engineer)
Since Stewart joined our team in January of 2018, he has had a huge impact on our team. We refer to him as the unclaimed son of Bill Gates. He knows everything there is to know about Microsoft. Stewart has over 20 years of experience in the IT field. In his free time, he enjoys writing, spending time with his kids and teaching karate.
